Have you ever been overwhelmed with a circumstance or a situation that seems that God and men abandoned you? Are you faced with a problem that you need help to get out of? Are you struggling in life, and everything seems to be against you? If you are, then this article is you.

Sometimes in life, everything looks as if all is against you. It will be as if God or someone is repaying you for what you have done in the past. But that is not true. You should know that as long as you are a child of God, He is always with you and will never be against you. And in a little while, things will work out for your good.

What Favor Is?

Favor means having the approval of God and men, and it is having undeserved rewards from God or people. Favor may come in times of happiness or distress. However, it is very important to know the distinction between the Favor of God and men. We receive God’s Favor through faith, and we obtain Favor from men based on our relationship with them.

The Favor of God is based on your faith in Him. When a man has faith in God, he causes his mercy and grace to rest upon him. Noah was such a man who found favor in the sight of God, and when God was to destroy the whole Earth because Noah had faith in God, he was saved alongside his family from the flood.

Genesis 6:5-9

[5]And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

[6]And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.

[7]And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, beast, creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.

[8]But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.

[9]These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfected in his ages, and Noah walked with God.

Also, Joseph found favor in the sight of his master Potiphar because of the relationship they had. Despite being a subordinate, Joseph was able to groom a fantastic relationship with his master. Had he not served Potiphar well, Joseph would have obtained n Favor from Potiphar

Living the life of Favor.

The life of Favor is simply the same as the life of faith. You do not need to earn God’s Favor because the blood of Jesus has provided his Favor for you. Most Christians think they can somehow earn God’s Favor by their work. But that is not true. Many have struggled to earn God’s Favor by working hard to earn His Favor instead of simply putting their faith in Him.

Jesus said; Your heavenly father maketh his sun rise on the evil and the good, and sendeth rain on the just and the unjust (Matthew 5:45). Even while we were sinners, we still experienced the Favor of God. How much more now that we are now his children.

God is single-minded and does not find fault for showing Favor. But you must have faith to receive His blessing. Without trust, you can not receive anything from God (James 5:1-8). Do you want to live a life of Favor daily, then be ready to live a life of faith—a man of faith is a man of the blessing.

How to experience Favor daily

It is possible to be a believer and not be able to see the Favor of God in your life because of overwhelming tragedy and disappointment, Elijah was in this situation at some point in time. You might have asked the question, “Why”. Stay calm, and you will find a way out.

1. Always be in expectant of His Favor.

You always have to expect God’s Favor every day of your life, and you have to position yourself every day to receive His Favor. If you are not expecting a blessing from anyone, you will probably not have it.

You should expect God’s Favor in all your endeavors. This is faith. And a life of blessing is a life of faith. And the Bible says; the righteous shall live by faith.

2. Declare His Favor every day.

The life of the Christian is a life of declaration. If you want to experience God’s Favor every day, you must learn to declare His Favor over your life. Jesus says; whatever you shall ask in my name, and you believe it, you shall have it.

3. Be meek and Humble.

In Isaiah 66:2, God said: “These are the ones I look on with Favor: those who are humble and contrite in spirit, and who tremble at my word.” You have to stay meek and humble if you want God’s Favor. If you are not, you should not expect His Favor in your daily life.

Remember, God cannot come from heaven to Favor you. He always uses men to carry out His will. And if you are not meek and humble, those men may not be able to Favor you.

4. Always strive to obey His Word.

The word of God contains all the promises of God to us. And only those who are ready to live by his word will experience His Favor. So you should strive to obey His word.

Joshua 1:8

[8]This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth, but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have success.

5. Always seek God’s wisdom daily.

Wisdom is needed to live a life of Favor, and you need the understanding to navigate through life, and you need the knowledge of God to discern opportunities that are meant to Favor you. And James advises us to ask wisdom from God in faith who gives liberally to all men and does not find fault if we lack understanding (James 1:5–6).

As a child of God, you should strive to live a Favored life through faith. Always know that God is with you and is not against you.
